David's interest in photography began at the early age of 12 reading LIFE and National Geographic magazines. He later became his school photographer and worked part time in a camera store and darkroom during high school. After attempting to satisfy his parents request that he become a Business major in college, he settled into the fine art program at the University of Florida and received a BFA in photography. David feels his background in fine art photography has been essential to his success in the commercial world.
